Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

  • Account data: Email address, name, password (hashed), and billing details when you purchase a subscription.
  • Product data: Content you paste or create within the AI Assistant (source content, meeting notes, reviews, support messages, your answer library, etc.). This data is stored per-account and is only accessible to you. When you use an AI feature, the relevant text is sent to a third-party AI language model provider (selected automatically from multiple providers for reliability) solely to generate that result — see Section 4.
  • Usage data: We run first-party, self-hosted analytics (page visits, referrers, and which actions you take) to understand what's working. This is not a third-party tracker — no vendor receives it, and no tracking cookies are set.
  • Payment data: Processed by Square. We receive only the subscription status and transaction IDs. We never see full card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and maintain the Saturnyx suite of tools
  • Process subscriptions and send receipts
  • Authenticate you and protect your account
  • Communicate about your account, billing, and product updates
  • Improve the product experience (aggregated, anonymized analytics)

3. Data Storage & Security

  • All data is stored on our own servers in Canada.
  • Passwords are hashed with HMAC-SHA256 + salt (never stored in plaintext).
  • HTTPS is enforced everywhere.
  • Product data is scoped per-user — no cross-account access.

4. Third-Party Processors

  • Square: Payment processing. Their privacy policy applies to payment data.
  • AI language model provider: Text you submit to an AI feature (content to repurpose, meeting notes, reviews, support messages) is sent to a third-party AI provider solely to generate that result. It is not used to train third-party models and is not shared for any other purpose.
  • No other third parties receive your personal data. We don't use third-party analytics trackers, ad pixels, or third-party cookies — our analytics are first-party and self-hosted (see Section 1).

5. Your Rights

You may request:

  • Access to your data
  • Correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Export of your product data (JSON)

6. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained while your account is active.
  • Product data: Retained while you have an active subscription to that product.
  • After cancellation: Data is kept for 90 days (for recovery), then permanently deleted.
  • Billing records: Kept for 7 years per tax requirements.

7. Children's Privacy

Saturnyx is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We'll notify you of material changes via email and update the "Last updated" date above.
